This is a fabulous example of an early Victorian mourning ring from 1855. Made with a gold band with stunning “Memory” black enamel and finely-plaited hairwork around the ring (all intact), it is an attractive mourning ring. A cartouche to the front is engraved “WP” and inside an in memorium inscription reads: “In memory of Lizzie, 4 Aug st 1855” with the ‘st’ in super script.
This is a real collectors’ piece with a history going back some 160+ years.

ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY
This piece has been specifically selected by us, for you. We choose vintage and antique items which we think are beautiful, elegant and classic at a range of price points between £30 and £3,000.
Generally, this means we only ever have one of each piece. We don’t select pieces which are “mass market” but rather items which are more individual. This means that once an item has been purchased, it really has gone.
Each piece comes in an attractive jewellery presentation box.
