Mizpah literally means watch tower in Hebrew but the giving of Mizpah rings and tokens was a symbolic gesture of an emotional tie between two people.
This is a fantastic 18ct rose gold Mizpah ring with beautiful embossed script to the front the band. Made in the late 19th Century and assayed in Birmingham, this piece is over 130 years old and exudes its history.
The band is 66mm wide to the front and 4mm wide at the back.
“And [it was called] Mizpah (Watchtower); for he said, The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.” (Genesis, 31:49)
Size N 1/2 (UK) / 7 (US).
ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY
This piece has been specifically selected by us, for you. We choose vintage and antique items which we think are beautiful, elegant and classic at a range of price points between £30 and £3,000.
Generally, this means we only ever have one of each piece. We don’t select pieces which are “mass market” but rather items which are more individual. This means that once an item has been purchased, it really has gone.
Each piece comes in an attractive jewellery presentation box.
